Celebrate Black culture, arts in Stroudsburg

Come one, come all.

Celebrate diversity in the Burgs at an art exhibit that celebrates Black culture Friday – Sunday at Create and Be Studio located at 8 N. 6th Street in Stroudsburg.

The event features new work by the hosts, Sylvia Thompson and Courtney Natt, who co-own Create and Be.

Paintings and photographs by Black artists, Donte Stokes, Tyronn Brewington, Ivy Fox and Courtney’s brother, Marcus Natt, will be also be display.

Disneyland Parks Honors Black Heritage with Celebrate Soulfully

Following the January events celebrating Lunar New Year, the Disneyland Resort spent February and Black History Month honoring Black heritage and culture through music, food, art and new experiences with Celebrate Soulfully. Honolulu mayor designates February to celebrate culture and art

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi declared February as Culture and Arts Month on Oahu.

In a ceremony at Honolulu Hale, the Royal Hawaiian Glee Band performed after the proclamation signing on Wednesday.

To celebrate arts and culture during the month, the city said it plans to hold a number of performances and campaigns to highlight various art forms.

“Culture and the arts are not only beneficial to us socially, emotionally, and physically, they have become a force in our economic diversification and revitalization in Hawaii,” said Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts Executive Director Makanani Sala.
