Erb Foundation donates $2M in grants to Detroit arts, culture, environmental causes

Detroit — The Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation says it has donated more than $2 million in new and ongoing grants in September to more than 60 arts, culture and ecology programs in Detroit.

Some organizations, like the Carr Center which specializes in preserving African and African American cultural arts traditions, received matching funds to expand programs and organizational infrastructure. 

The remaining $1.6 million in grants was dispersed across the foundation’s other focus areas.

County Arts Commission Offers Grants to Assist Arts and Culture Nonprofits | Arts & Entertainment

The Santa Barbara County Arts Commission is accepting grant applications designated for arts and culture nonprofit organizations through Sept. 1, for its Arts Making Impact (AMI) grant program. The application and guidelines are available at sbac.ca.gov/county-grants.

AMI grants are intended to support artists, and arts and cultural organizations by funding projects and a variety of activities that enrich the lives of residents in Santa Barbara County.

The 2021-22 funding is designated for arts and culture nonprofit organizations with an annual operating budget under $250,000. Applicants must be based in Santa Barbara County and provide services to Santa Barbara County
