“CBS Mornings” unveils new team, new studio and new format

CBS News is launching “CBS Mornings” on September 7 from its new studio in Times Square, said Neeraj Khemlani, president and co-head of CBS News and the CBS Television Stations.

The new show will be co-hosted by Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil and – the latest addition to the team – Nate Burleson, an Emmy Award-winning sports analyst.

CBS News Unveils Morning Show Changes With New Name, Look And A Times Square Studio

When Nate Burleson joins Gayle King and Tony Dokoupil as co-host of CBS’s morning show next month, the program will have a new look, theme and name: CBS Mornings.

The changes, to launch on Sept. 7, will connect all of the morning shows together with some of the elements of its long running CBS Sunday Morning, which has long topped its time period on weekends, including the use of the sun logo and trumpet music, Gottfried Reiche’s Abblasen.
