To say the past year and a half has been hard for graduating artists is a massive understatement. On top of dealing with a spiralling COVID-19 crisis, they had their IRL workshops and crits cancelled, their studio spaces closed, and their much-anticipated degree show moved online.
But at last, in person exhibitions are back and some shows which were delayed can happen. It’s the case for the Central Saint Martins MA Fine Art courses class of 2020 and their (belated) graduate show titled FINALLY.
The show will run from 2nd to 5th September 2021 at the Hub and Garage spaces of Ugly Duck, in the heart of London with a Private View on Thursday, 2nd September at 19:00 PM.
An opportunity to FINALLY discover what CSM’s class of 2020 have created despite all these uncertainties.
Taking matters into their own hands, FINALLY is organised by a group of 2020 CSM grads and curated by where’s the frame? which was aptly founded by two 2020 CSM grads. The show represents the graduates from the courses of MA Fine Art, MA Art & Science and MA Contemporary Photography; Practices and Philosophies.
Always at the forefront of the creative sector, CSM enjoys an unrivalled reputation when it comes to creating ideas, materials, and actions for a better future.
So, in true CSM fashion, from the climate emergency, to mental health, to the technological impact on society, the artists in the show explore pressing issues that the young generation is facing today.
