Kane Brown reported his new one, “Like I Really like Region Music” is “super country” and characteristics a cameo from legendary nation duo, Brooks & Dunn.
Brown talked about his latest one with Nation Now, sharing that he, Jordan Schmidt, Taylor Phillips, and Matt McGinn had a co-composing session for the duration of a writer’s retreat even though on the road in 2019 when he arrived up with the track.
Brown admitted that he actually did not dig the track at first.
“When I went up [to the] entrance [of the tour bus], they had now started out the song, ‘Like I Like Nation Songs.’ And at initial, I wasn’t actually vibing with it,” he shared. “Whenever it took off, it just wrote alone, and it all just…blended in so perfectly.”
Brown continued to say that the music was going to be on his 2020 EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, but then he fell out of love with the track again. It took listening to the track after much more for Brown to slide back in love with the music and come to a decision to record it.
“I went back and performed the demo and fell in adore all over again. So we took it back again into the studio and manufactured it strike more durable. I re-sang it,” he defined to Place Now. “Because I really feel like my vocals have received a great deal much better than they utilized to be, and I just fell in enjoy with it all over again,” he extra.
The track leans into ’90s state and references artists like Johnny and June Carter Cash, Willie Nelson, and Alan Jackson.
In addition, the song features a cameo from Brooks & Dunn.
“They each jumped on it,” Brown said while speaking about the tune with Place Now. “Ronnie does ‘Brand New Man’ and Kix sings, ‘I love region tunes,’ the little tag.”
The duo is not showcased on the song but selected to go into the studio and make the cameo on Brown’s monitor in any case.
“That’s what’s amazing about it. They came into the studio and took their time for one particular line apiece. It is not even a function, but they came in,” Brown spelled out. “For artists to arrive into a studio and do some thing, technically, you want to be a aspect. You want to have a whole verse or a full refrain. So not only was that wonderful of them to do that, but it is so impactful in this music. I’ve recognized that those people are the two lines that I sing the most out of the track, so it is amazing,” he extra.
Brown previously teamed up with Brooks & Dunn to sing their song, “Believe” on their album, REBOOT, which reimagined their hits and was unveiled in 2019.
“Like I Adore Nation Music” impacted nation radio on May possibly 6. Because hitting the region new music airwaves, the tune has been the No. 1 most included, with 126 adds, building it a profession superior for Brown.
Brown teased the song on his Instagram in a online video with his oldest daughter, Kingsley. The father-daughter duo danced in the kitchen of their home to the track whilst sporting cowboy hats.
