Dubai Culture brings back the Fine Arts program with workshops and lectures

Boosting the art and culture of Dubai, The Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai –Dubai culture in association with the Akkas Foundation for Visual Arts have joined hands to launch a series of activities for the creative minds in April.

With a variety of workshops and discussion sessions focussing on artistic photography, the event will take place under the supervision of a group of pioneering and young artists who are specialised in this field. Individuals from the field amateurs and professionals alike have been urged to participate and refine their skills.

The series of workshop and sessions was kicked off earlier in April as a part of the program with a discussion session entitled ‘Explore Yourself in Photography’ that was held on April 2 at the Al-Safa Library for Art and Design and was which was presented by artist Jassim Al-Awadi, founder of the Akkas Foundation.

To boost these creative talents, these workshops aim at providing creative talents and those interested in photography and various arts for all ages and nationalities in the United Arab Emirates.

The series of the event include an external trip within the ‘Night Photography’ workshop for beginners that will take place on April 16 by artist Al-Awadi followed by another external workshop for night photography that will be held for the intermediate level on April 23 at 9 PM.

The artist will conclude the month with a workshop entitled ‘Colouring pictures by Hand’, which he will organise on April 29 at the historic Al Fahidi neighbourhood.

These workshops by Dubai Culture are focused to support talented people in various fields of visual arts from the people and residents of the Emirates, enrich their knowledge and refine their skills, and provide an opportunity for them to express spaces, their creativity and talent.
